I'm Postdoc at the Institute of Mathematics at UFRJ (Rio de Janeiro) and a recent PhD graduate from the Department of Statistical Science at Duke University. Before that, I attended Rice University (Jones College '06) and double majored in math and statistics.

If you're looking to kill some time, you might want to check out My Bloggy. I really appreciate when people send me good ideas, interesting articles, or fun data sets for it. If you have none of those, I also accept free money and/or chocolates.

Here's a non-exhaustive list of some other things that I've been up to over the past few years:
- Spatial population estimation
- Data suppression in environmental wireless sensor networks with the Sensor Design Working Group at SAMSI.
- Bayesian estimation of a (behavioral game theory) cognitive hierarchy model with Carl Mela and Richard Hahn.
- Estimating the number of unreported homicides and forced disappearances in Casanare, Colombia with the Human Rights Data Analysis Group (HRDAG).
- Surprisingly large counts in contingency tables with my mentor, Diane Lambert, in the research group at Google NYC.
I'm going to save the world with statistics. Just you wait...
