Fernando Bonassi
I am a third-year PhD
student of the Department
of Statistical
Science at Duke
University.
Currently, I am working with Professor Mike West on Approximate Bayesian Computation. Our focus is on Sequential Monte Carlo Methods, and also Non-linear Regression based on Mixture Modeling.
Before joining Duke, I studied at the Institute of Mathematics and Statistics at University of Sao Paulo (IME-USP, Brazil). I received a Bachelor's degree in Statistics in 2006 and a Master's degree in Statistics in 2009.
In a general view, my reserach interests include Bayesian Computational Methods, Foundations of Bayesian Inference, Decision Analysis, among other topics. More information can be found on the other sections of this webpage.
