Selection
To determine the order in which Ph.D. students choose their desks for
the upcoming school
year and summer,
students are first
blocked according to
the year they started
the program. Senior
students will be given
desk selection
priority over
beginning students.
Within each block, the
order that students
will select their desk
will be determined
using randomization.

GCC Voting Procedures
Students are nominated to be in the GCC by their fellow students. Nominations are submitted to the GCC via email during the first week of Fall semester classes. If the student accepts the nomination, that student is then put onto a ballot for all students to vote on at the biannual all student meeting (held the second week of Fall and Spring semesters). Students not present at the meeting can vote before via email to the GCC.
