JOB #4 For Wednesday October 12th, class time: Project development. At class on Oct 12th each project team will present a 5-10minute overview of their project area: problem description and context, data, modelling ideas, any connections with prior work, ties to time series/DLMs/modelling ideas, and initial ideas/progress. The class will be a relaxed discussion of the project topics. And you have a lot of time to do this. Between now and then we can discuss off-line and also by email as you develop your initial project ideas and plans. If there is additional time left on Oct 12th (unlikely, we'll see) we will have additional discussion of computation using MCMC methods or sequential particle filtering, and/or mixtures and multiprocess models.
