Sta113 : Computing Labs
Required Format for Lab Assignments:
To Submit Assignments Using Blackboard Grading Policy: A 5-point system will be used for lab assignments.
You may work with others while doing the MatLab simulations and you may discuss your results with others. However, you must write and understand your own MatLab code, generate your own graphs, and write your own paper.
FAQ:
  1. I click on assignments, but there is no place for me to drop it. Where to submit my report?

The assignment link will be automatically removed after the deadline. So you've passed the deadline. No late report will be accepted due to any reason.

  2. What should I do, if I find grading errors?

You should receive an email from the TA who did the grading right after the grades are posted at Bb. In that email, the TA will specify certain time frame (usually his/her office hours) to deal with all the grading errors. Contact that TA during that time frame (no grading error will be corrected after that time frame). There is no need to contact or cc any emails to the professor.

  3. I received a note on Bb, saying that the TA was unable to run my code, but it was running well on my laptop. What should I do?

Contact the TA. If needed, you should bring your laptop to the TA's office hours.

  4. I can not run some of the codes listed in lab details on my notebook. Why?

It is possible that the Matlab on your laptop has a different version than 7.0 which is the current version at Teer. If you choose to do all the work on your notebook, it will be your responsibility to fix all the version-related problems.

  5. Can I send my assignment through digital dropbox?

No, unless you are asked by the TA to do so.

  6. Can I send my assignment through email attachment?

Never send your huge files as an attachment to the TAs' or the professor's email accounts, without obtaining their permissions first.
