Grading Policy:
The final grade will be based on the final exam (25%), three midterm exams (20% of the median and 15% each of the other two), and lab assignments (25%).

Homework problems will be discussed in the lab session and in the regular lecture and will be the basis for most exam problems. Solutions are posted in Blackboard: folder named "HW Solutions" in course documents.

There will be three midterm examinations (Sep 15, Oct 20, and Nov 17) and a final exam (Dec 13). Exams are in class, closed-notes and closed-book, but you may bring a standard calculator and a single 8.5x11 sheet of formulae, definitions, etc.

Students who must miss a scheduled midterm or final examination for any reason (athletic, religious, personal, etc.) should if possible make arrangements with me well ahead of time to take a version of the test EARLY.

Grading errors: once the grades (lab assignments or exams) are posted on Blackboard, you should receive an email from the TA, telling you when and where you can find him/her if you have questions on your grades. No grading errors will be corrected after that time frame.
