The 2009 Mitchell Prize is awarded in recognition of an outstanding paper where a Bayesian analysis has been used to solve an important applied problem. The Prize includes a commemorative plaque an award of $1,000.
Eligible papers for the 2009 Mitchell Prize must be published or accepted in a refereed journal or conference proceedings on or after 1 January 2007. A paper may be nominated by any of its authors or by any ISBA or SBSS member. A nomination consists of the following:
Papers will be evaluated by the Mitchell Award Committee, appointed by the ISBA Prize Committee. The winner will be announced at the 2010 ISBA World meeting.
Nominations may be submitted by completing the following form. Nominations must be submitted by 10 December 2009 (midnight UTC/GMT, 7pm EST, 4pm PST). Any questions regarding the Mitchell Prize may be directed to awards@bayesian.org.
